JEAN PIERRE DISERENS
Chairman
Jean Pierre Diserens is Secretary General of CIFA (Convention of Independent Financial Advisors), a Swiss non-profit foundation in General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, New York (ECOSOC).
He has served and still serves on a variety of Boards as Chairman or Member and has over 50 years of experience in Wealth Management and Private Banking.
JIMMY TEJANI
Jimmy is an innovative Basel-based entrepreneur and venture capitalist, who over the last four decades has established successful businesses in shipping and logistics, cellular phone networks, fishing, food processing, and renewable energies.
Jimmy sponsored and built the first GSM cellular network bringing on board Vodafone; Mobile Systems International; IFC (World Bank) and CDC (Commonwealth Development Corporation UK) on the cellular project which ten years later was sold for $3.4 billion.
During the financial crisis of 2007-08, Jimmy and his team advised on improving governance, economic progress, and finance to high-level organisations. With deep-rooted networks in the Swiss and UK financial communities, Jimmy with his team have excellent relationships with leading commercial banks, financial institutions worldwide including development banks . His extensive expertise in corporate finance and investment strategy makes him a key figure in the global business and financial sector.
MARTIN EVANS
Martin has extensive experience in the banking industry with a career spanning over 35 years gained at both Buy and Sell side institutions. He has a strong track record of managing complex risks and portfolios across Structured Credit, Equity and Macro asset classes and has built, developed and managed international teams in both Sales and Trading. He has worked on pioneering financial products and innovative financing solutions, including risk mitigation and balance sheet & capital relief efficiencies.
Prior experience includes running a sales coverage team serving Private Market Investors at Standard Chartered, leading Deutsche Bank’s EMEA Corporate and Special Situations Trading Group, and serving as Senior Portfolio Manager and Deputy Head of Credit Investments at EBRD where he managed the bank’s $12 billion credit investment portfolio.
Martin is regulated by the UK's FCA and the Bank of England's Prudential Regulatory Authority with an unblemished record with them over four decades and has held Material Risk Taker status and other registrations including FCA CF, FCA CF30, FCA CF21.
PAUL CHRISTIAN MACLEOD-NAIRN
Paul qualified as an LSE Stockbroker at W.Greenwell & Company which was the Lead Stockbroking Firm during the Privatisation of the Nationalised Industries under the Thatcherite Government.
Paul is also a qualified Money and Capital Market Inter-Dealer Broker and has created numerous new and innovative bespoke structured financial transactions whilst being the Head of Corporate Structured Products-Equity Division, in FTSE 100 companies.
Paul is approved and regulated by the UK's FCA and the Bank of England's Prudential Regulatory Authority having an unblemished record with them over four decades, and was also authorised by the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7.
JANKA PALKOVA
Janka has extensive leadership experience in multinational financial services organizations, including BNP Paribas, SMBC, HSBC, and Citigroup. She is an accomplished Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO) with expertise in various regulatory environments, such as Canada, the USA, Japan, Switzerland, and the European Union. Her areas of specialization include regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-terrorist funding (ATF), risk management, payments, securities, and capital markets. Janka holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, and a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto.
KLAUS FEGER
Lawyer (Legal Services)
Klaus is currently a partner of Holzach Partners, a Swiss multidisciplinary law firm. From 1992-2000, Klaus served as an alternate judge at Basel City Criminal Court, and a member of the Appeals Section of the Basel Criminal Court.
Klaus' fields of expertise include national and international commercial and contract matters, intangible property rights issues, construction and work project issues, Estate Planning, Probate and Administration of Estates, and international judicial assistance issues.
NICOLAS ARIAS
Tax adviser (Finance)
Nicolas is shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Cuentax AG an accounting and tax consultancy firm. Nicolas specialises in restructuring, acquisitions and complex tax issues. He consults SMEs in all areas of finance and accounting.
